THE SONG OF THE BRIDE
Part 3 Elaine Cook
Christ’s Table and Preciousness
Song of Sol. 1:12 "While the king sat at His table, my spikenard sent forth its fragrance."
He invites us to come and sit at His table. He does not offer to sit at ours. The first taste that we have of the Lord’s table is when we have communion with Him through the emblems of bread and wine which represent His death and resurrection.
The next taste is when we enter into our secret closet and commune with the Lord. There, we taste the heavenly manna and drink of the living waters flowing within us. We are not waiting for Him to come down from heaven to speak from some place in the celestial sphere. We learn to look to the One within us to arise and speak, to teach, to comfort, and to warn.
What manner of dainty dishes shall we eat at the King's table? Jesus tells us in twelve short words what the "meat" is that our Father feeds us at His table. "My meat is to do the will of Him that sent Me." As we feed upon Him Who is the Living Bread, we too are filled with an intense de-sire to do only His will, no matter what the cost.
Spikenard, that most fragrant and costly perfume, was sealed in an alabaster box which had to be broken before the fragrance could come forth. It is a figure of humility. As we dine at His table and learn to do His will, our fleshly man who formerly lived to promote self, begins to be broken and the fragrance of the perfume of His indwelling presence begins to come forth. In our love for Him, we are prompted to say:
1:13, "My beloved is unto me as a bundle of myrrh, that lieth betwixt my breasts." Women of the East conceal in their bosoms little bags of aromatic herbs, or a small cruise of oil. This figure of speech refers to the Beloved who lies in the heart of the Bride.
"Lieth" means "to abide permanently, to remain overnight." "Night" signifies the absence of the Bridegroom (in His physical form). He is hidden in our hearts and assures us, "And lo! I am with you all the days till the conclusion of the eon!" (Concordant Literal) The only time we may experience "night" is when we are going through the fires of testing (to make us more like our Beloved), we may imagine that He is not with us and has left us to struggle all alone. Ah, never! He is as a bundle of myrrh, fragrant but bitter—a fit emblem of suffering, abiding in our hearts. Only as myrrh is crushed and pierced does its fragrance go forth. (The servant is not above the Lord in the respect of "learning obedience through the things that He suffered.")
1:14 "My Beloved is unto me as a cluster of Henna-flowers in the vineyards of Engedi." The Henna-flowers are heavy with fragrance and hang in creamy white clusters against their bright green leaves. They were used by oriental women to out-wardly adorn themselves. "Henna" in Hebrew means "the ransom price." The fragrance of the myrrh is perceptible to others, but they neither see nor know what it is nor where it is hidden. But the Henna-flowers are not only smelled, but seen and admired by all. He, as the cluster of Henna-flowers, is that decking and ornamenting ourselves with His attributes in our daily walk, which is seen, recognized and enjoyed by all about us. But, before we can be adorned with this outward adorning, He must become to us as the little bundle of Myrrh. This adorning is done, blossom by blossom, as we put off our old dead leaves of covering and our vile-smelling attributes.
Mutual Love: The Eternal Habitation
1:15 ‘Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thine eyes are as doves." God has provided that, as we behold the glory of the Lord, we shall be transfigured into the same image of His Son (Rom. 8:29). The dove’s constancy to one mate is an emblem of the Christian whose eye is single to Christ (no wan-dering eyes). The dove is also an emblem of repentance. The bride is most miserable when there is something between her and her Lord.
1:16 "Behold, Thou art fair, my Beloved, yea, pleasant: also our couch is green." She is encouraged by His words of love to call Him Beloved (we love Him because He first loved us!) She says, "Thou art fair!" She realizes that she has no beauty in herself, but has only the reflection of His beauty. This causes her to glory in having no beauty of her own, for she desires only to be seen in Him.
She calls Him "pleasant" which means "delightful, sweet, and restful." The place of their rest is green. They "lie down in green pastures" and their bed is green. Green is the color of new life. This color never appeared in any of the garments of the Levitical priesthood. It is not until we read in the book of Esther where the King was celebrating the Feast of Tabernacles that we see coverings of green. The green comes in with the Melchisedec priesthood!
"Our couch is green"—speaks of a bed, sign-ifying rest, completeness, perfection, marriage union, a couch with a canopy. A canopy, or cover-ing of green, speaks of being clothed with His Life! The Bride acknowledges that she is resting in Him and He is bringing her into a new place of rest and resurrection life.
1:17 "The beams of our house are cedars, and our rafters are fir." The cedar tree is a figure of the manhood of Jesus. It is the hardest, most durable wood and no worm will work in it, neither will rot destroy it. The beams, which form the foundation of this heavenly habitation, and which uphold the rafters, are the pure humanity of Jesus (Heb. 2:14-17). Not until He became a man and laid these beams of His pure humanity, could He go up to the cross and die, thus laying the rafters which cover the whole building. Hard, durable, red fir shows forth Christ’s redemptive work. The atoning work of Jesus is over us all the time, supported by the beams of His spotless human nature.
Preeminence of Christ and His Bride
2:1 "I am a rose of Sharon, a lily of the valleys." "Sharon" and the "Valleys" were the most fertile districts of the land of Israel and all that grew there was in great luxuriance and perfection. He is portraying Himself as the source of all joy and delight, of all beauty and fragrance to his bride. The white, spotless lily, so humble and yet so stately, so full of perfume and yet hidden away, came forth as He learned obedience through the things that He suffered.
We want always to be upon the mountain tops in our experiences, but the place of greatest growth is always in the valleys. Jane Leade speaks of putting on a bright Lily Body. Larry Hodges comments that "This can be none other than the new spiritual body with which we are to be clothed upon from above. Such a body is becoming to those who are risen from the dead as only this spiritual body is fit for ascension and union with the Father. It is the change of raiment known only to the Melchisedec Priesthood (Ezek. 44:15, 19). Only such a body as the bright Lily-Body can bear the awful glory that shall rest upon it in the mighty acting power of the Holy Ghost that shall be given without measure. It is known also as the Tabernacle Body of the Holy Ghost."
The Lord is "a lily of the valleys." A lily-life is one of faith, trusting in the life of Christ for everything. I’m in touch with a number who are being exercised in this "Lily-life." Larry Hodges says, "This has to do with leaving those legitimate things which, by their very nature, act as a twisting briar about the Lily-life of Christ in us. It is a leaving of the life of care for that Lily-life that is without toil or care, being taken care of by Him who feeds the sparrow and clothes the lily. Jane Leade says, "This is a considerable mountain to move but Faith will move even it." Jesus never looked to the money-bag that Judas carried, but only to His heavenly Father and He knew no lack.
Larry continues, "Jesus appeared the first time in the humility of the vile body and being so clothed over with it, was not recognized by the very ones whose religious claims implied they should have been the first to know Him. He is now about to make what He terms His "second appearance," in His saints. If His first appearance was in the humility of this vile body, His second appearance will not be after that order. He appears this time without sin unto that salvation which shall include the redemption of the body and shall involve the swallowing up of the mortality of that body of death by the life-giving Spirit of Christ within, putting under foot the last enemy that shall be destroyed."
This state is said by Jane Leade to be "very rare and seen in only a few at first." She refers to it as a "fixed body." It is as the overcomer being like a pillar in the temple of God and going no more out. It is the putting on of incorruption by the corruptible, or the act of that life within swallowing up that death which is without. This is the goal and ultimate outcome of those who are being made into His likeness and image. It is the putting on of immortality.
The Lord spoke to her very clearly that this new Sharon state shall be seen only in a few at first, but that it shall quickly go on to multiply itself in others of like mind and heart, eventually reaching past the outer court to the nations of the world, turning this outward fading rose into the Lily-life of Christ. Therefore, as we await "the breakthrough", it is not to be thought that a grand entrance shall be gained by all who understand these things and embrace them. The "break- through" for which we expectantly look, is the beginning of that which will gradually build and multiply in and through those who are earnestly pursuing after God.
A SISTER ON A MISSION
Diana Summers
Yesterday as I walked out of Wal Mart, I hap- pened to pass a middle-aged man and woman. She was walking very unsteadily with a cane, and because she wore shorts, I could see that her legs were quite emaciated. Suddenly these thoughts were dropped into my heart: "That woman you see is My Bride."
Wow! Yes, I see! She was clearly passing through this baptism of utter helplessness about which so many of the saints are currently sharing. Although her body appears to be deteriorating, she’s doing the best she can. The man is symbolic of the Lord who stands right by her side lest she stumble and fall. He will not allow that to happen, and if she is no longer able to navigate on her own, He will carry her through all that is ordained for her to endure in her processing. "Pure gold," I reflected. "Pure gold within."
This woman was not attractive. The world was passing her by as she went unnoticed in the crowd. Yet I did take note. The Christ within me rose up instantly, looked upon her and saw His Beloved…in disguise…incognito. Through His eyes I watched as she was taken through the most glorious transformation, becoming ravishing, whole, Christed. . a Queen for her King. Furthermore, I knew she was already incredibly ravishing to Him, although I doubt she knew it or even felt His Presence much of the time!
Oh my God, how I needed to see this sister, for in her I was able to see myself and so many others. Her precious mission was to give me Hope. Bless her abundantly, Father, and pour Your Love upon her. Tell her that she is indeed useful to You! You gave her a hidden mission…hidden from her own awareness or understanding. Such tasks will surely keep us humble.
Beloved in Christ, let us stand in our awkward, restricted, seemingly unfruitful places and praise God for using us in ways unbeknownst to us. Surely He wastes nothing, and the willing heart of the dying saint is being employed for His Own Glory. May we also be faithful to remind one another that in the driest places and darkest hours of our journey, the Holy Spirit is doing the greatest work of preparation. The seed of Christ is being nourished as our souls are cleansed for the final absorption into the Spirit of God within. Wondrous…truly wondrous, are Your ways.
A LETTER OF EXHORTATION
Faith Williams
I sense, dear brother, that you’re struggling with this prolonged season of seeming spiritual "death" that so many of this company are passing through. Many are seeking to continue beating the drums, running here and there trying to find His presence in yet one more gathering. When the noise dies, the "God-silence" is very apparent. So—on to another meeting!
I saw it clearly when we met together recently. I was urged into playing and singing, because it was what was expected. There was no flow from song to song, only long silences till someone suggested another chorus. Painful—like beating a dead horse. The Cloud was not moving, but how few are content to sit in their tents until He does. I felt most of us shared, just because we had become accustomed to that order of things and it was awkward to admit that the Holy Spirit wasn’t moving that way at this time. He wasn’t "going up" but we sure were trying to!
No criticism here—it’s not always easy to make the transition from one of God’s dealings to another. We do tend to want to cling to the known ways. "He taketh away the first, that He might establish the second." As we’ve walked in this place that is new and strange, there have been many "searchings of heart" for me. The old "religious tapes" in my head die hard, so I just knew "I’d grieved the Holy Spirit, not been willing to die, failed the Lord, sold my Birthright for a mess of pottage, etc." Others seemed to be receiving new and wonderful revelations, wide-open doors of ministry, moving ahead in His purposes, while I got deader and deader.
I felt the Lord spoke to me one day, that I was not to move in any of the past ways of what we called moving or ministering in the Spirit. I had no idea it would be so drastic! Recently, He again said within, "You will no longer move in the Spirit but wait until the Spirit chooses to move in you!"
How glibly we have used these terms—Led by the Spirit, moving in the Spirit, calling to the Ministry, etc. perhaps that was well and good for a sixty-fold people and had its place but we are truly in a new arena of our Father’s "goings in the earth." Perhaps we forget that the Spirit’s leading can be into the wilderness to be tested, into the rivers of death in Jordan, into Nothingness. Out-wardly seeing nothing but what we feel is worldliness, backsliding, flesh hanging out all over, all gifts and graces seemingly gone into death—no beauty that we or our ministry should be desired.
How great a death—to wait—not allowed to "stir up or awake our love until He pleases." It’s as tho’ the very Christ within and all we’ve experienced of Him has died, in the tomb of our spirit. We must wait—no matter the time required—in total trust that our Father is able to raise us up, even from the dead.
Can we truly believe all the things we have so long declared—because He has declared who cannot Lie? That we have been called, elected, chosen in the furnace of affliction, foreknown, justified and predestinated to be conformed to the image of His Son? That nothing—not even death—spiritual or natural, can separate us from the love of Christ? Can we hang on in this strange and scary place with that anchor of Hope which goes within the veil, that declares to be what the natural eye and mind declares to Be Not?
This, I believe, is the very painful and hard-to-understand part. Our spirits have become dead to all that has been Life to us before—spiritual songs, writings, anointings, even the written Word (except He quickens anew and often only fleetingly). To try to breathe Life into them in ourselves, is often only a weariness of the mind.
How we struggle to find just the "right formula" to cause the Spirit to manifest in us once again—to Feel the nearness of His Presence (we do love to be in the driver’s seat and get recognition for smething). We know what to do—we’ll just repent, fast, pray more, etc. How difficult it is to just fall into His arms of mercy and grace and rest—to accept that things are not as they have long been, that perhaps being spiritual is not quite what we’ve imagined. Can we truly just let go and let God be God?
In this great spiritual Void where we find our- selves at present, can we walk out each day with-out guilt and condemnation, when we find ourselves filling empty hours with natural things? Reading, gardening, visiting, talking of every-day events—things we once thought were "making our beds in hell?" Or are we able to just accept and acknowledge that the Christ within is "sleeping in the sides of the boat" and not be frantically trying to awaken Him?
Let us not be as the prophets of Baal on Mt. Carmel, slashing themselves with knives and lancets, because it seemed their God was sleeping or on a journey. Our God is never "Not with us"—He only hides his face and removes the sense of His presence that our faith might be in Him alone. We may yet find the most vital and profitable times of our walk with God are these seasons of seeming spiritual death—times of not knowing that our life is pleasing to Him. Here we cast ourselves as an anchor into the depths of His faithfulness, who has called us and also will do it. He who upholds the Universe by the Word of his Power….
We too, must know this place of utter broken-ness, choosing to "not be offended" by anything or any dealing our Father purposes in our lives, strange tho’ they may be. This, I believe, is the true circumcision, the cutting off of all confidence in the flesh, being weakened in the way, having our "legs broken."
Be of good cheer, saints, there is a whole host of the called in this place of the Shadow of Death, but we will not fear, for God is in us, of a truth! "And it shall be said in that Day—Lo, this is our God—we have waited for Him and He will save us." We shall hear, in His time—"Lazarus, come forth"—into a greater dimension of knowing Him, as He truly is.
NOT A MAN (Prophecy sent to us)
"Lo, I cannot find a man, nay, who has walked this way before,
for the path is newly opened by a recent swinging door…
and the predecessors vanish with the dawning of the day,
while the hidden ones are stirring, for the past has passed away…
Now the lame shall rise to victory and legs of faith be strong,
for the cause results in triumph and results to Life belong…
From the precious vintage rip’ning is the first-fruits cluster rare,
and the blessing bides within it of the changing blood and air…
O, you cannot find a vessel that has held what’s now in view,
for the perfect’s surely birthing in which makes all things new…
So no seeking unto others of a fleeting day and age
will upturn a single leader whence to look for wisdom’s sage…
Be it known…It’s you God’s calling to announce in golden tone,
that the day of Christ is bursting in the minds of men alone.
Yea, alone and separated have they waited through the night,
knowing well the death of spirit, till returned it bursts the light.
Few the shackles still abiding, but they’re those of iron worth
and must break in final loos’ning by the shaking of your earth…
Do not fear the crucial crisis in the spirit, body, mind,
for your God leads onward surely where His fullness is defined."
RHEMA PERSON
Jim Alspaugh
When a person comes into Passover, he starts to learn the logos or written word of God. Up to that time, it didn’t mean much to him. He then starts to memorize the written promises of the Lord and apply them to his needful situations. This works for a while, and then it does not work any more.
(I don’t think it has dawned on us that we humans are basically receivers as far as God is concerned. We are so used to having to act and handle our own affairs, that it is difficult for us to be receivers and let God live through us). The Lord will then take them to Pentecost and give them a Rhema word for each problem. After a while, a person realizes that the Rhema word does not work anymore either. Perhaps you have heard a Rhema word from the Lord and He just doesn’t do it, or does it differently from what you expected. Many Pentecostals become discouraged at this point, and get mad at God. We can not apply the Rhema Word; we can only receive it. God has to apply it in the situation. We are still receivers and expressers. What is needed here is not a Rhema Word, but the Rhema Person.
Jesus is moving you over Jordan where He is doing the living in place of you! You no longer have a situation where you are here and God is there, and you need a Rhema Word to bridge the gap. After Jordan, like the Israelites, we find we can do nothing of ourselves. We have died to independent self. If you are at that spiritual level, and try to act independent, you will surely fail just as the Israelites did at Ai with the Gibeonites. God is the actor now and we are the receiver and expresser of His fullness and glory. He will live our life for us to His glory and our benefit. Now God has moved you into Tabernacles, and He wants you to recognize it and move into living tabernacles, which is a union of two personalities which are involved in one action. He is the one doing the living through you, and He will do it as He pleases. You were crucified at the cross and can do nothing without Him. You can not even apply a Rhema Word from Him—you must let Jesus apply His own Rhema Word to the situation, which is now His situation. So, the good news to all locked in this situation is that God has more than a Rhema Word for you! He will come and be the Rhema Person in you. He not only died for you, He comes now to live for you. This is the rest of God.
I had a very vivid dream recently. I was standing in a graveyard and saw a tombstone with my name on it, and it said, "Dead to the world, flesh, and the devil, and alive to Christ." I then had the confirming witness of Galatians 2:20 spoken to me.
The dream-vision continued and I was in the basement of a Catholic Church. They were hold- ing services and forgiving sins in Latin. The problem was that none of them could get out the front door. They appeared locked into the building. In inquired of the Lord and He said, "They have not died to independent self so they are locked in where they are."
Then, I was in a police car with a driver who was not treating the people he was stopping, in a proper manner. In the next scene, I was in a police hearing concerning the conduct of the officer. I could see all these high-ranking officers and they were asking me to make the judgment. I said, "The officer needs more sensitivity training," and they all agreed. I took this to mean the officer needed to know Jesus better so he could be sensitive to the Holy Spirit of Jesus.
I find Jesus is telling me from time to time to act as a Melchisedec priest, which we are. He will say, "Speak forth a word of healing, (or a word of salvation), and remember it is I speaking through you, for you to live is Christ." At the present time, I am slow to do this, as I want to be sure it is Jesus. When we first cross Jordan, we take the land little by little. In Pentecost, we were so quick to speak a word when we saw a need, but we had not fully died to self, so it could not manifest very much.
THE SECOND SEAL
Bill Cook
Rev. 6:4 "And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another; and there was given unto him a great sword."
Lee Wigand had some insight on this: "The Holy Spirit just sovereignly turned a light on inside of me. My spirit leaped with this insight on the four horses in Zechariah and in the Revelation that John saw of Jesus Christ signified through a people as He transforms them into His image.
"Scripturally, a horse speaks of strength and power. There is something significant about the strength of a horse that mankind has chosen to measure mechanical power in horsepower."
So much has been written on the outward application of the 6th chapter of Revelation, that I must say a few words in defense of the inward ap- lication. Andrew Jukes writes in great detail on the inward application of a block of scriptures and then gives but a sketchy account of the outward application. I conclude that the first and most important is the inward application.
Lee Wigand’s insight declares that "The Red Horse speaks of the Power of the Blood over all that is not of God. This Red Horse also speaks of war. James 4:11 show us that our own pleasures wage war in our members. I Peter 2:11 urges us as believers to abstain from fleshly lusts which wage war against the soul (mind, emotions, will)."
It may be worth saying that the color "red" has a certain significance in all societies today. What does it mean to you? Probably: "take note"—"take care"—"very important."
When a traffic light turns amber, you take your foot from the accelerator and when it turns red, hopefully you bring everything to a halt; it is now a matter of life and death. Red means "be alert—grab the message!
In times past, all the Cooks were horsemen; at that time we used horses to work the land—no tractors, no mules, no oxen either. Further, I have to say I never saw a red horse; those somewhat re-lated to that color we called "sorrel" or "chestnut." In essence, I am saying that these horses are symbolic of something else the Lord is bringing to our attention. In the gospels, we see Christ in actuality, meek and lowly, riding on an ass and the foal of an ass.
But now we see Him symbolically. We see Him after His death on Calvary and after His victorious resurrection and after His being placed at the Father’s right hand. The Father has Him pass before us pictorially on prancing steeds to show that He has conquered all. He is now the Conqueror.
One of the root words for "red" is "fiery." Sal and Dominie Bodonaro share, "With the opening of the second seal, the refining process is introduced; i.e. the cleansing and purification process fearfully needed of the fallen soul which must needs precede the finished work of God. This is the symbolism of the red horse."
I love the way in which Jane Lead expresses it: "At the opening of the Second Seal, all peace, pleasure and joy were taken away from the earthly life. With this, such a light broke forth which made me see the vile abomination of an earthly state as compared with the perfection of the Divine Life. Now I rejoiced in nothing more than to see Him who sat upon the red horse slaying with His sword the beasts and creeping things of the earth. That is, all the moving stirring essences springing from the original source of evil, and to find Him taking away peace from the earthly life so that the earthly mind is bereft of all peace, rest, content and satisfaction in all its goings out, whether in thought, word or action.
"But how comes this to pass? And why? Because He that sits on the red horse gives a mighty sword to the Spirit of the Soul that thereby it may kill and destroy all the essences of the earthly life, in joint union with Christ. Which sword is nothing else but the power of the Spirit of Life, which is Christ’s Deity in His eternal humanity now fixed in the center of the soul. It is Christ’s rising life in his saints enabling them to conquer the essences of the earthly life, which is the beast in themselves. Now this taking away of peace from the earthly life is a blessed intro- duction to its final destruction which is to follow according to the intention of the Kingly Redeemer."
I will close with a quote from Andrew Jukes who is speaking on the general application of the whole "Revelation of Jesus Christ."
"I know that red horses, and beasts, and earth-quakes, and Babel, with her filthiness, must continue in me after regeneration, and after Christ’s first coming to my soul in grace and has quickened it; before heaven opens, and He comes the second time to rule all the creature and to make all things new. Then, when He who has come in grace comes again in great power, the the revelation of Jesus Christ shall be perfected. The very beasts are stages in the way. The evil destroys and punishes itself throughout, while grace, out of every fall, brings forth fresh blessings, proving that, if sin abounds through man’s weakness, grace shall yet much more abound."
FROM MY PRAYER TIMES
Elaine
1--The Battle of Armageddon: Shortly after I awoke one morning I heard the words of this old hymn ringing through my spirit:
"See, from His head, His hands, His feet, Sorrow and love flow mingled down;
Did e’er such love and sorrow meet,
Or thorns compose so rich a crown?"
When I went to prayer the Holy Spirit spoke, "Do you not know that the Battle of Armageddon is now warring fiercely all about you—in the minds of those who see that there is a kingdom to possess? The rational mind wars constantly with the spiritual mind to keep it from ascending to the place in the spirit where I dwell.
"The enemy who controls the "reasoning mind" of man is making one last strong stand against all who would aspire to be free from his control and to put on the mind of Christ. With great swelling words are My people seduced, even as it was of old. Yet, I am allowing it to sift and to prune My people, for only those who refuse to exalt self shall win the prize. It is not a gift that is being given, but it is a prize that is to be won. And, in a race, there are certain requirements to be fulfilled before one can be declared a winner. Simply because you are "called" to run does not guarantee that you shall be a winner. The require- ments must be met and these requirements are not different from the ones that were laid out before Me in My earthly sojourn.
"Did I not learn obedience through the things that I suffered? Was I not tempted of the enemy in all points when I was weak in My flesh? Did I not learn to do only those things I saw My Father do and speak His words and not My Own? All these things are written that you might know the way that you should walk unto sonship: even the Way of the Cross.
"Many say, ‘There is no sin; the devil is dead; it is finished,’ but only as the cross has done its work is sin overcome, the devil defeated and the work in you finished. Let the cross settle all controversy, as My son Paul said, ‘From hence-forth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus Christ.’ He walked the way of the cross.
"And those who shall be the victors of this race and of this great battle shall be those who have followed in My footsteps and have counted the things of this world as loss that they might win Me, These, I say, are My sons indeed!"
2—The World Chooses Barabbas: "The cries of the world have once again chosen Barabbas to be freed, and for the Christ to be slain. But, it shall not be according to their decree, but by the decree of My Father that every knee should bow and every tongue confess Me to the glory of the Father. At My cross, the will of the people seemed to prevail, but it was My Father’s will that was being carried out. And in this day, though they still call for Barabbas to be freed, it shall not be so, for I do rule in My heavens and Barabbas shall go to the cross until he longs for Me to rule over him. I come now to rule through My willing ones in the day of My power!"
( When we understand that Barabbas means "son of Abba" we can hear what the Spirit is saying here. "Abba" means "father." As sons, we cry, "Abba, Father." But, there is also an earthly father, even Adam, or the natural man. The origin of Barabbas was, without a doubt, the natural man. The Spirit is here saying that the cries of the world are crying for the natural man and all that he stands for, to be freed and the ways of Christ to be put away, even slain).
