Hallejulah! – Elaine Cook has finished her race!‏

With rejoicing, we are able to report that Elaine Cook has finished her race. She passed on in her sleep at Swan Valley Lodge in Creston on September 10, 2012

2 Tim 4:6-8 (NIV)  “6 For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time has come for my departure. 7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day–and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.”

A while ago, some of us were in prayer; when we all “saw this picture”.  We saw Elaine finishing her race.  We saw the scene that one sees when you are standing at the finish line while watching the completion of a long race.  We were among those standing on the sides cheering the participants on as they struggled to finish the last miles of their race.  We saw them huffing and puffing and overcoming as they were coming to the finish line.  We saw Elaine as she came towards the finish line and we cheered as we saw her.  There was great joy as we realized she was completing the task set before her.  Such joy.  Then our eyes were opened to see that the crowd cheering her on, extended past the earthly finish line.  We saw that our cheering line continued to the other side.  We saw the crowds that had already gone ahead, lined up cheering her on – the great cloud of witnesses.

Heb 12:1 (NIV) 1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.
Response from a dear friend upon hearing – “Glory to God, it’s Coronation Day!!! Hallelujah… Her “Script” is fulfilled, her Race Won!!!

As many of you know, Bill had his “graduation” in April of 2012; and there is an incident we would like to share. Bill’s sister shared this with us.  She was washing dishes at her home when she became consicious of her parents near her and she felt their excitement about their son coming home.  She then phoned the Lodge and talked with Bill and found out that he was very weak and Bill told her that he loved her;  Bill passed on the next morning.

We rejoice with great joy that we have such a loving Father!
We are thankful that both have finished the race set before them!

Thankfully, Elaine’s son and daughter-in-law visited the day before she went home..
Again, we thank our Lord for his  gentle mercy.

We are planning to continue the website. http://www.kingdomgospel.org/

Thank you for sharing. Bill and Elaine were in our home 27 years ago. They were a great blessing to us! I am so happy and envious of her new found health, peace and joy but I sure will miss her awesome input on the word of God. You are welcome to add it, praying for more people like her to fill the gap

greetings from Peachland (we like to call it Peaceland!). Thank you for letting us know the details surrounding Elaine’s promotion. The Lord certainly has ‘our times in His hand’ and we see such when folks and loved-ones hear Him and their times dove-tail into His great plan. We loved the scripture selected … 2 Tim.4:6-8 … so very fitting. She and they were on our hearts from time to time due to the precious memories from the past. We started ‘computers’ together there in Armstrong when we lived together with them for about 18 months. It was a great time We love Bill and Elaine dearly and look forward when the time comes to be with them and with the many other saints that have gone on.
    God bless you both richly.

  9. Monty and Lori Williamson says:

Thanks so very much for letting us know of Elaine’s passing on into Glory….such rejoicing in heaven!…and yet a feeling of emptiness here in our little corner of the world…first Bill…and now Elaine…a saddening sense of the older and wiser spiritual ones passing on…leaving a new ‘older’ generation to carry on in our own walks with the Lord.

Elaine was a very precious, special and gracious lady…a devout sister in the Lord…and a spiritual mother and mentor to so many, including us. We too were very blessed in the Lord’s timing to get to know Bill and Elaine…and be the ready recipients of their love and spiritual insights.

God’s Love shone and shone through Elaine….reaching out to all who crossed her path….her deep love for the Lord so evident in her willingness to be broken bread and poured out wine for her Beloved’s sake.
She graced our lives in so many ways….in her warmth…in her God-given wisdom…and in her wonderful writings and Spirit-filled words which will live on in our hearts and minds.

Thanks too for your plans in carrying on the website…it is a wonderful resource and reference.
    In His Love,
    Bill & Anne Bakelaar

We are sadden to hear of the passing of our beloved Elaine. She was a blessing to us. Thank you for letting us know. After reading your letter, we too greatly rejoice. Elaine came to Singapore several years ago, where she ministered in the word to our congregation. We were greatly blessed by her and have very fond memories of this beloved saint.

A number of years back, Elaine consented to “adopt” me as a spiritual “daughter”. She faithfully corresponded with and encouraged me in my walk with our beautiful Lord Jesus. It blesses my heart to know Bill and Elaine will be there cheering me on in the great cloud of witness when I get to “graduate”, too!

    Thanks for the testimony,

It truly is an enduring race we run. We are constantly stumbling and getting sidetracked. Thanks for the good grace of our Father, we will persevere and win by standing on what we believe, which is a measure for Faith, faith that all we strive for is not in vain.

We’ve been thinking a lot about Elaine today & Bill as well. We so rejoice that Elaine has finished her race. She is now seeing our precious Lord face to face & she is able to communicate perfectly. Elaine led our son Bill’s dad to the Lord in 1964. Her ministry changed my life. We feel so blessed to have been loved by her.

I have not corresponded with her for some time – loved her from a distance – know she was the Lord’s servant. I know she is being Blest now as she is with her Savior.
Blessings – I am 87 so know time is short. Only way for her to go was peaceful – God is faithful and kind.

  22. Monty and Lori Williamson says:

It is well over 25 years ago that Brian and I met the Cooks, when we were ministering at the church in Clive. Over the years we were able to visit at different times and places, always enjoying the happy opportunities for fellowship and sharing, which were encouraging and inspirational. We benefited much from Elaine’s ministry of teaching and writing. In fact, knowing her had a significant impact on our lives. She was just a phone call away for times when we felt perplexed or troubled in our spiritual walk. We give thanks to the Lord for Elaine’s fruitful life, and her faithfulness to the Lord Jesus whom she loved so well. Although we miss her, we rejoice that she in now fully in His presence, having finished well indeed.

  23. Monty and Lori Williamson says:

Whilst just thinking over the years since I/we met Elaine, when the Lord brought her to visit us and then brought her back a second time, for He wanted to make sure that we got the message! Which, praise God, we did. For this was our heavenly Father’s plan for us at that time. Well, today, these lines came into my mind and I share them with you, even while we rejoice for her:

“Some people come into our lives and quickly go…
Some people stay awhile and leave footprints on our heart and we are never the same.” That was Elaine for us.

Hello Friends! I receive the sad news of the death of Sis Elaine Cook with alot of sorrow and disbelief. She was a loving Mama and she just passed on before she could fulfill her promise of paying us a visit and Ministering to us in my church. I had longed to meet her in person but it seems God loved her very much and that is why He called her peacefully in her sleep. I did not know the rest of her family members because we had not met. But I pray that we remain in touch with you Guys, because we are all Sons and Daughters of the Kingdom. May God who is husband to widows and father to the fatherless Comfort you and give you Strength during this difficult and mourning period. I will be happy to hear from you again, Amen ~ Pst Ben Shikuku, Bungoma Kenya.

Thank you for letting us know about Elaine. She had been on our hearts of late. We prayed for her often for we knew her heart’s desire to be with her Lord. She and Bill meant so very much to us. They were our spiritual mother and father.
They came to our house many times and ministered to hearts with encouragement. They attended our two younger daughters weddings, they were special!
We rejoice with all who knew her and Bill. Glory to God !

Thank you! Oh how wonderful it must be for her!!! I cannot imagine the pure joy there! Thank you so much for letting me know!!! I’m glad you will keep the site up. I had gone to it on Friday to try to find an older writing and the archive for previous years would not load. There are so many treasures in her writings! Thank you for keeping them alive. I was so blessed to have known both Bill and Elaine and to have been one of those in the USA that they visited and ministered to! I am looking forward to seeing them both again!

We, Rosalie, Patrick and I, will be here at my home at the time of the memorial service for Elaine.
All we here can say is that when God brought Elaine and Bill to Scotland, God changed our lives from then on, slowly teaching us by the Holy Spirit and using her writings to help us. For we knew that we were hearing truth.

    This comes with love from

“George and I are thankful Elaine passed away so peacefully. He pain and frustration is over and she will be rejoicing in her eternal home.
    Home from the earthly journey
    Safe for eternity
    All that the Savior promised…
That is what Heaven will be.

Our sincere sympathy goes out to Stephen, Linda and family. May they find comfort in knowing where their mother (grandmother) is.”

I wish we could have made it to Elaine’s memorial, but I have my grandson staying with us now. And his new wife, when she gets her days off.
We’d love to hear how tomorrow’s celebration of life goes.

    The Lord bless you,

  36. Monty and Lori Williamson says:

We keep on picturing her in the heavenlies, with
that lovely smile of hers, rejoicing in the Lord’s company, and
renewing fellowship with those who have preceded her from
this life – those who she has met face to face and the thousands she has ‘met’ through her ministry. What a joyful reunion it must be! Hallelujah!

We are meeting with Elisabeth this afternoon to share in
thanksgiving for all that Elaine has meant to us, and for her
continuing ministry. We will be together at 10AM Creston time, and will be with you all in spirit at the service.
Our visit to Creston last year was so timely, when we were
able to meet with both Bill and Elaine one last time on this earth.

    Love and blessings,

    Patrick and Rosalie.

  37. Monty and Lori Williamson says:

Joan and I will be with you in spirit as you gather in remembrance of Elaine. We never met her, but through her pamphlets, books, letters and tapes we felt we knew her and we felt most privileged to be among her circle of distant friends. We give thanks to God for this dear woman and her inspiring saintly walk.
Thank you for keeping us in the loop.
    With blessing,
    Norman.

  38. Monty and Lori Williamson says:

HI Monty, Lori Anne and Meredith,
Many blessings to you all. I had hoped we could join in the celebration of Elaine’s life, but that was not as you can see we could not.

Over the past few days I have been contemplating the impact that Elaine had on my life. I truly believe the most important things she taught me was to learn to hear the still small voice of the Holy Spirit in all situations. Do I always listen as closely as I should probably not especially when the sounds of family, children, work, patients ect keep drumming in my ears. But am I reminded that it is possible to walk everyday in the little things even amongst the clanging of the other voices. Over the past few days, I have been reminded to keep quiet in my spirit. I remember when Elaine took me to the grocery store and asked me to pick out the groceries, but to listen to the still small voice and practice listening. At first I thought she was nuts, but then I heard and learned:)

So as we take the time to remember her life and the knowledge that she is with the Father. I am remembering the tokens of knowledge she dropped in my life, perhaps cleaning of the dust from some of them so they can shine brighter.
    Many blessings

I never met Elaine, in fact I just found this website on the weekend. As I was studying about the Benjamin generation I came upon her publication on “Benjamin – the remnant son”. I also read “Possess Your Inheritance” and a number of others. What I found very interesting was that a lot of her personal experiences are a mirror image of what the Lord has been taking me and my family through over the last couple of years. From the death of a baby girl, to supernatural childbirth….So her writings are such an encouragement. And the Lord continues to fill our lives with his wonderful revelations in His Word as we receive his grace in the fullness of His Son.

I wish I could have met Elaine and Bill, I have so many questions about their lives.

Is the site still continuing? I have my own blog with the revelations that the Lord is showing us. http://gracerevelation.wordpress.com/
